WASECA — The Waseca boys basketball team competed in Pacesetter Sweet 16 tournament this past weekend and brought home a fourth-place finish after two days of play.

The Bluejays defeated Sartell-St. Stephen 74-57 and Eastview 66-50 to start off the weekend. They fell to Park Center in the semifinals 85-49 and lost the third-place game to Mankato East 70-62 at college of St. Benedict.

The Pacesetter Sweet 16 is held every year in August and is an invitational that puts together the top teams from each of the four high school divisions.
