WASECA — The first-ever Ride for the Bethlehem Inn Home for Women and Children will take place Sunday, Aug. 18.
The motorcycle run is being put on to raise money for Bethlehem Inn in Waseca. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Bullheads Bar and Grill in Waterville where people can gather and eat before the run begins with $5 burger baskets to registered riders.
The cost for each rider will be $10 and each passenger will be $5, which includes a bracelet and five raffle tickets. Each additional raffle ticket is $2.
Kickstands will go up at noon to head to the first stop in Elysian at the Thirsty Beaver. From there the ride will head to Waseca to the Bethlehem Inn to meet the staff and residents.
The final stop will be in Manchester where the raffle will take place along with music.

Bethlehem Inn is the first transitional housing facility of Waseca and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to help women and children. The facility is designed for only a 90-day stay for families. The former convent of Sacred Heart Catholic Church has been turned into a 16-person capacity, short-term housing project for women and children.
