It can be difficult to say goodbye. Perhaps that’s why I’ve had so much trouble writing this final editorial for The Kenyon Leader and APG Media of Southern Minnesota.
There were no fire truck escorts with lights and sirens on Saturday evening to welcome the K-W competition cheerleaders home from their MCCA State Championship. The team turned in its best performance of the season and rose to the top, winning the Class A Tumbling division at state.
When winter storms move in, my nesting instincts go into overdrive.
I spent a good part of last Wednesday focused on Highway 52 and the reconstruction work MnDOT is preparing for in 2021-2023. Anyone who has lived in this area for the past 20 years or more will understand how traffic flow has increased on Highway 52.
By now I’m accustomed to writing 2019 in the dateline on my checks and my mind is already looking ahead to February news stories and upcoming events like the 40th Kenyon Carriage & Cutter Day parade on Feb. 23.
