The inexperienced St. Peter boys tennis team had a rough start to the season Tuesday, April 6 by getting shutout by Southwest Christian 7-0 in Chaska.
The Saints have only two returning varsity players, senior Kelson Lund and sophomore Marty Anderson, and most of the rest of the players are in their first year playing tennis.
Anderson came the closest to winning for the Saints, falling at No. 2 singles 2-6, 5-7.
St. Peter hosts St. James at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, April 13.
