St. Peter Saints softball, the 2021 Big South Division Champions, earned a multitude of postseason awards from the Big South Conference as well as the Minnesota State High School Fastpitch Coaches’ Association.

Named to the All-Conference team were Maya Pettis, McKenna Van Zee, Sophia Doherty, Grace Remmert and Ryenne Pettis with Honorable Mention honors awarded to Dani Johnson, Lauren Niemeyer and Lilly Ruffin.

Seniors Tori Zachman, Alyssa Hrdlicka, Elle Davis and Lauren Niemeyer earned Academic All State honors.

Senior Elle Davis earned All Section honors for the Saints to wrap up the awards.

Maya Pettis pitched in 16 games this season, starting 13 of them, and finished the season with a 7-4 record to go along with a save. She posted a team best 64 strikeouts while only allowing 19 walks and finished the season with a 1.73 ERA.

McKenna Van Zee appeared in all 21 games for the Saints and finished second on the team with 28 hits and 17 RBI while recording a .359 batting average.

Sophia Doherty appeared in all 21 games for St. Peter and led the team in hits and RBI with 29 and 18 respectively. Of players with at least 20 plate appearances, she led the team in batting average with a .433.

Grace Remmert appeared in all 21 games for the Saints and finished the season with 19 hits and 12 RBI while posting a .333 batting average. Remmert also led the team in walks taken to record an on base percentage of .457.

Ryenne Pettis Appeared in all 21 games for St. Peter and finished the season with 23 hits to go along with 13 RBI and a .319 batting average. She also started eight games in the circle where she posted a 7-0 record and 54 strikeouts to finish the season with a 2.68 ERA.

Dani Johnson appeared in 20 games for St. Peter and finished the season with 20 hits and 15 RBI while she posted a .303 batting average.

Lauren Niemeyer played in 19 games for the Saints this season and finished with 12 hits and seven RBI to go along with a .273 batting average.

Lilly Ruffin appeared in all 21 games for St. Peter and finished the season with 24 hits and 15 RBI to go along with a .393 batting average.

Alyssa Hrdlicka played in all 21 games for the Saints and finished the season with 11 hits including five doubles to collect eight RBI on the season while posting a .193 batting average.

Elle Davis Appeared in 17 games for St. Peter and recorded 14 hits on the season with nine RBI. She also drew eight walks on the season and finished the year with a .400 batting average.

Hannah Brenke played in 12 games for St. Peter this season, recording three hits to go along with a pair of walks and three runs scored on the season.

Molly Voeltz appeared in nine games for St. Peter and finished the year with four hits and seven runs scored to go along with a .286 batting average.

Bianca Penkert played in six games for the Saints, primarily as a pinch runner, and she finished the season with seven runs scored for the team.

Makayla Moline appeared in six games for the Saints and earned three walks and a hit in six plate appearances for a .333 batting average and a .667 on base percentage.

Tori Zachman appeared in five games for St. Peter and drew four walks in eight plate appearances while scoring two runs.

Mackenzie Pettis appeared in three games for the Saints recording a hit and an RBI in three plate appearances.

Kali Erickson appeared in the circle twice for the Saints during the season earning a 1-0 record while posting six strikeouts in six innings of work and a 4.67 ERA.

St. Peter finished the 2021 season with 15-6 overall record with a 10-0 record in conference play and the program graduates six seniors, Alyssa Hrdlicka, Kiara Rahman, Lauren Niemeyer, Tori Zachman, Elle Davis and Bianca Penkert.
