Alex Vogel 1981–2019 Loveland, CO—Alex was born December 10, 1981 in Minneapolis and passed away July 23, 2019, in Loveland, Colorado. Parents are Bob Vogel and step-mother Victoria Vogel, and Karen Dincau-Amit and step-father Eilon Amit. Alex attended St. Louis Park High School and the University of Colorado at Boulder. He served as a paratrooper in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne. Survived by step-siblings, Garrett Owen, Ohad and Roni Amit, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his brothers-in-arms. He was a self taught self employed artist. His pencil on paper representation of the war in Iraq titled, "After Action" would gain him the grand prize in a national art competition. Alex collaborated with his father, owner of the Stained Glass Studio, and wife Victoria, in creating one-of-a-kind stained glass works. Those works include Universities, libraries, hospitals, and numerous residences throughout the country. From an early age, Alex navigated many historic travels with his father outside familiar boundaries. Crisis-crossing Turkey, Italy, England, Indonesia as well as witnessing the great migration through Kenyan and Tanzania, to name a few. He absorbed the museums of Amsterdam, Berlin, to the Smithsonian of Washington DC. Alex's ashes were scattered in the mountains of Colorado, which he loved dearly. A casual celebration of Alex's life will be held at 215 No. Minnesota Ave., St. Peter on Saturday, August 24, beginning with honor guard at 1 p.m. Food and a display of his many art-works will follow in the studio and home.
