Ronald C. Wesely Fargo—Ronald Charles Wesely, 70, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Owatonna, died Friday, June 7, 2019 at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND. He was born January 25, 1949 in Owatonna the son of Charles and Bernice (Balzer) Wesely. Ron attended Southern Agricultural School in Waseca. He began his service in the US Army in 1969 and was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas until his discharge in 1971. Ron married Elana Ubl on June 6, 1970. The couple lived in Owatonna and had three children prior to their divorce. Ron farmed with his dad and worked at Truth for 43 years. He was very active in the racing community. He raced the #26 car, which was his age when he started racing. Ron was a very talented engine builder. He built many motors for other drivers some of which won championships. Ron enjoyed participating in Pool League and Bowling League. He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter, Renee (and Mike) Johnson of Fargo, ND; grandsons, Justyn and Jerron of Fargo, ND; sisters, Sharon (and Walter) Clark of Maple Plain, Susan (and Dave Barkman) Wesely of St. Petersburg, FL, Sheryl (and Greg) Mclaughlin of Rochester and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughters, Ronda and Rochelle; grandson, Jacob; and 2 infant brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. Graveside memorial services will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11am at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna with honors provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
