Glen 'Roger' Quaintance Owatonna—Glen "Roger" Quaintance, 68, of Owatonna, entered the Kingdom of God with his wife by his side Monday, September 9, 2019. He was born March 28, 1951 in Owatonna the son of Oren and Alice (Joslin) Quaintance. Roger graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1970. He served in the US Army in Vietnam from Oct. 1970 to Jan. 1972. On October 26, 1974, he married Becky Saari at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Ellendale and New Richland prior to moving to Owatonna. Roger worked at OMC, King Co. and Fleet Farm. Roger was very proud to be a veteran. He loved serving his country and sharing his experience in the military with others. Roger enjoyed raising Hereford Beef cattle and taking care of horses. He also enjoyed spending time at The Kernel Restaurant having coffee and socializing at the counter. Most of all, Roger loved to spoil his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Becky Quaintance of Owatonna; daughters, Melissa (and Jim Erickson) Quaintance of Blooming Prairie, Angela (and Jeff) Mosier of White Salmon, WA; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Yerhart of Keokuk, IA, Patricia Quaintance of Owatonna, Norma (David) Hafstad of Ellendale, John (Doreen) Quaintance of Owatonna, Kandy (Scott) Johnson of Owatonna and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Delbert Quaintance, Tommy Quaintance; sisters, Ruth Duesterhoeft, Mary Townley, Sue Sanchez, Nancy Quaintance, Lorna Kidder. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm and at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church on Monday from 9am to 10am. Funeral services will be held September 16, 2019 at 10am at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Brian Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston with honors provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
