STEELE SNAPSHOT: The Dunnell House

c. 1930s, Owatonna, Owatonna Township. The Dunnell House, currently residing in the Village of Yesteryear, was originally built on what would become the Pillsbury Academy campus in 1868-1869. Seen here at its original location at 357 East Main Street in Owatonna, you can notice a number of changes over the years. Originally painted all white, apart from shutters, the Dunnell House now features green trim throughout. Moved in 1969 to its current location, this building serves as a reminder of the importance of historic preservation in our area. (Photo courtesy of Steele County Historical Society)
