While I was rummaging for coffee change at Faribault’s Buckham West, the man standing beside me waved a $2 bill and said, “I’ll buy your coffee and mine.” (Coffee is only $1 there.) It felt weird having a complete stranger buy me coffee — even cheap coffee — but I let him. He told me he carries $2 bills to use as tips — and other random acts of kindness. People love getting the rare $2 bills, he enthused.
