Carlyle Marshall Aldrich 1929–2019 Northfield—Carlyle Marshall Aldrich passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2019 at the age of 90. He was born on April 12, 1929, at his parent's farm four miles south of Northfield, MN. After graduating from the School of Agriculture at the University of Minnesota in 1947 he began farming. In 1950 he married Barbara Jane Lindquist from Minneapolis, MN. In 1954 they purchased a farm just west of his parents' where they raised four children and continued to live until Carlyle's death. Carlyle and Barbara are members of Emmaus Baptist Church. One of Carlyle's favorite past-times was going to the men's breakfast and Bible study at the church each Wednesday morning, which he did the morning of November 20. Carlyle was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Ruth Aldrich, infant sister, sister Faith (Allen) Johnston, brother Paul (Blanche) Aldrich, son-in-law Philip Johnson, and great-grandsons Jonathan and Edwin Keillor. He is survived by wife Barbara, son Greg Aldrich, daughters Carla (Randy) Keillor, Carlene Johnson, and Wendy (Tom) Hayden-Aldrich, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Memorials can be made to Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. A private memorial service is for immediate family only.
