Ida (Peterson) Zanmiller Colorado Springs—Ida (Peterson) Zanmiller, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on March 12, 2020 in Colorado Springs. Ida grew up in Northfield and graduated from Northfield High School in 1956. In High School, she met and fell in love with her husband Walter "Jerry" Zanmiller. Ida and Jerry were married in 1959. They lived in St. Paul, where their four children were born. They later moved to Belgium, Clinton, New Jersey; Dexter, Michigan; and Santa Cruz California. Through their moves Ida formed an expansive network of close friends that she retained throughout her life. Following Walt's retirement they spent four years traveling the country in their fifth wheel. This gave them the opportunity to see all 49 states and much of Canada, enjoying the outdoors and visiting their many friends and family around the country. Following their travels, they settled down in Colorado. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, devoted husband Walt "Jerry" Zanmiller; loving children; Mark (Kym), Carol (John), Pete (Jenn), and Susan (Scott); and her nine wonderful grandchildren – Greg, Jordan, Alice, Meghan, Zoe, Andrew, Tia, Devin and Hayden.
