The 11th annual Palestine Film Festival, organized by Northfielders for Justice in Palestine, began Tuesday and will continue with free documentary showings at 7 p.m. June 18 and 25 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1321 North Ave., Northfield. Showings are open to the public. Each evening will end with discussion and a brief question-and-answer period.

The June 18 film is “Killing Gaza,” which follows independent journalists Max Blumenthal and Dan Cohen documenting Israel’s 2014 assault on Gaza during the war and chronicling its horrific aftermath.

The June 25 film is “Imprisoning a Generation,” a documentary that follows four young Palestinians who have been detained and imprisoned under the Israeli military and political system.
