Nurses at the Ridgeview Le Sueur Campus trained with nurses from the North Memorial Air Care team on Thursday, Aug. 25 to learn helicopter/helipad safety. The Ridgeview team learned about the life-saving equipment used to monitor, stabilize and care for patients when they are transported for more advanced care and treatment. They also learned about the processes used by the flight crew to load and unload patients in different environmental and weather conditions. A couple nurses were also given the opportunity to take a helicopter ride and experience firsthand the space and conditions of a typical flight.
