The Waseca-Le Sueur Regional Library System has a number of events planned at its libraries from June 24 through June 28.
Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Zoo (RAD Zoo) will introduce kids to a variety of slimy and fascinating animals. RAD Zoo’s presenters provide an enjoyable experience for their audience, while instilling a greater understanding of these unique animals and the incredible lives they live. The audience is welcome to touch some of the animals in a controlled setting.

Bubble Gum Self Portraits
Get inspired by Lester Fizz, Bubble Gum Artist, then tell your story by painting a picture of yourself with personalized details on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m.
Janesville public library
Level Up: Osmo Masterpiece
Supercharge drawing skills with an interactive drawing tool on Monday, June 24 at 1 p.m. Whatever image kids’ pick, Osmo Masterpiece can transform it into an easy-to-follow outline. Then, using the screen as an interactive guide, kids can draw it on paper perfectly. This free event is geared for ages 7 to 12.
Le Center public library
Teen Art Splash
Create art inspired by music with a variety of projects for teens to try, from guitar picks to lyric art at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 24. Supplies are provided and this event is exclusively for ages 13 to 18.
Le Sueur public library
Level Up: 3Doodlers
Doodle in the air. Create projects in 3D with this cool pen by drawing whatever you like or using molds to create ready-to-make projects on Thursday, June 27 at 2 p.m. This free event is geared for ages 7 to 12 with a required registration.
Montgomery public library
LED Universe Art for Teens
Turn your own painted interpretation of beautiful deep space into a cool LED light display on Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and exclusively for ages 13 to 18.
New Richland public library
Sphero Star Map
Team up to create various constellations out of our rolling robots on June 27 at 5 p.m. Then guide your Sphero-ship out of the sky and safely back to Earth. This event is geared for ages 9 to 15.
Waseca public library
Stars for Tots
Listen to constellation stories while enjoying themed activities with lace-up cards and stamping on Wednesday, June 26 at 10 a.m. This event is free and geared for kids ages 2 to 6.
Waseca Water Carnival
Bring the whole family to Trowbridge Park for a free event, full of water games, backyard games and lots of fun on Thursday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Grab a towel and be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet. Events will include Water Balloon Catapult, Dunk Tank, Water Balloon Toss, Lego Boats, Face Painting, Art Projects, Fire Truck and Police Car Tours, Bean Bag Toss, Water Safety Station and Safety Shark and more.
Plus, enjoy a free lunch at the event.
This event is a collaboration with Waseca Public Library, Community Education, City of Waseca, City of Waseca Parks Departments, Waseca Art Center, Waseca Fire Department, Waseca Police Department, Waseca Water Park and Cash Wise Foods. In case of rain on June 27, the event will be held on Friday, June 28.
