The Waseca-Le Sueur Regional Library System has a number of events planned at its libraries from Aug. 13 through Aug. 16.
Janesville Public Library
Larger than Life Games
Play giant versions of some of your favorite games like Jenga, Angry Birds, Kerplunk and more on Thursday, August 15 at 5 p.m. before we cut the ribbon for the new reading garden. Popcorn and water will be available. All ages are welcome at this free event.
Waldorf Public Library
Blast Off Crafts
Drop in to create out-of-this-world crafts, including straw rockets shooting star spinners and more on Tuesday, August 13 at 2 p.m. This free event is geared for ages 7 to 12. Registration required—stop by the library or call 507-239-2248.
Waseca Public Library
Cook the Book
Visit Waseca Public Library to choose a recipe from the selected cookbook. Then bring the finished dish to Waseca Public Library on Thursday, August 15 at 12 p.m., where the cooks will sample all the dishes and share their experiences. It’s a great way to meet people in the community, share cooking tips and try out delicious food. Open to all cooking and baking skill levels.
Join Waseca Public Library for messy fun at weekly Outdoor Adventurers outings around Trowbridge Park on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. on August 16-September 13, September 27-October 18 and November 1-22. This event is series is focused on connecting kids ages 7 to 12 with nature through outdoor exploration. Activities will include fort building, creating nature journals, examining tiny pond creatures and more. Registration required.
