The girls basketball season has already come to an end, but the Faribault girls team added in one more accolade to close out the year with senior guard Isabel Herda being named as a Big 9 All-Conference selection.
In a season that was already memorable for the Falcons efforts of moving the program into a bigger, brighter direction, Herda’s selection to the Big 9 All-Conference team is a fitting way to end the season for Faribault and to end her career with the Falcons.

Herda was selected as one of the top 19 players across the Big 9 conference and surpassed the additional 10 players selected as honorable mentions after averaging nearly 11 points per game for the Falcons.
On top of that, Herda became the first player to earn an All-Conference selection from the Faribault girls team since then-senior Abby Van Ryn was selected back during the 2018-19 season.
Faribault will certainly miss having Herda on the court as leading scorer and one of the veterans on a very young roster, but the Falcons won’t face much turnover and return plenty of key players from their 2022-23 season as the girls will look to continue pushing the program in the right direction.
