Faribault High School graduate Jake Petricka has been dealt.

The 31-year-old MLB veteran right-handed pitcher was traded Friday from the Milwaukee Brewers to the the Texas Rangers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

He does not go on Texas' 40-man roster and has been assigned from the Brewers' Triple-A affliaite, the San Antonio Missions, to the Rangers' affiliate, the Nashville Sounds.

Petricka was acquired by Milwaukee before the 2019 season. This season in the big leagues, Petricka recorded a 3.38 ERA over eight innings in six appearances, all in April.

Petricka was designated for assignment April 27 and assigned outright to San Antonio May 1.

The 2006 FHS graduate is 1-1 with a 1.89 ERA in 19 innings over 16 games for San Antonio. The groundball specialist has 22 strikeouts and a .947 WHIP.
