Ronald J. 'Ron' Tousignant 1938–2020 Faribault—Ronald J. 'Ron' Tousignant, age 81 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Graveside services will be held for the family at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to River Bend Nature Center, Habitat for Humanity or Bethlehem Academy High School in memory of Ron. Thank you for your love and understanding. Ronald James, the son of Philip and Josephine (LeMieux) Tousignant, was born on November 15, 1938 in Faribault. He attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1956. On August 19, 1967 he was united in marriage to Dianne Forcelle in Faribault. Dianne preceded him death on July 25, 2016. Ron worked as a carpenter first for different construction companies in the Minneapolis area and later for Met-Con Construction in Faribault. While working construction Ron also spent time farming the land where he lived west of Faribault. Ron volunteered his time at the River Bend Nature Center, Habitat for Humanity and for over 50 years was a devoted usher at Sacred Heart and Divine Mercy Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughters, Shawn (Robert) Hendel of Mankato, MN and their sons, Kieran and Braeden, Kelley Tousignant of Faribault, and Shannon (Jose) Ponce of Ontario, CA; by two brothers, Dennis Tousignant and Lawrence (Noreen) Tousignant, both of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Josephine Tousignant, his wife, Dianne, son Jay Patrick Tousignant and by his sister, Joanne Nelson.
