Helen Driessen 1934–2020 Faribault—Helen Driessen, age 86, of Faribault, died on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault. Private memorial services will be held for Helen's family. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. A memorial visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 4 to 6 p.m. Helen Irene, the daughter of Albert D. and Anna M. (Olson) Steinbach, was born on August 24, 1934, in Onamia. She graduated from Faribault High School in 1952. She married Roger Theodore Driessen on December 23, 1952, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2019. Helen was one of the first female school bus drivers and also one of the first female U.S. Postal Service rural mail carriers in Faribault. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed all types of animals, especially horses. She is survived by her four children; Suzan (Paul) Wegner of Northfield, Judy (Mike) Goblisch of Faribault, Charlie (Roxy) Driessen of Faribault, and Katie (Wes) Remmey of Faribault; by eight grandchildren, Alison (Aaron) Bright, Anna (Brian) Burnette, Daniel (Sarah) Wegner, Amie (Jackson) Faith, Derek (Rachael) Driessen, Riley Driessen, Emily Remmey, and John Remmey; by eight great-grandchildren, Cain Benzing, Benjamin Brown, Elijah Wegner, Kara Bright, Iris Burnette, Lila Burnette, Reagan Bright and Bodhi Faith; and one sister, Esther Purdie of Faribault.
