Sharon Gangloff 1946–2020 Northfield—Sharon Joyce Gangloff, age 74 of Northfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Rachel McIver Morey officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Boldt Funeral Home on Friday. Sharon Joyce Aarsvold Gangloff was born on March 27, 1946, in Dodge Center to Philip and Joyce (Morrill) Aarsvold. She grew up in the Dodge Center area and later moved to Faribault. She attended Faribault High School, where she met and later married Robert Gangloff. They were married on February 1, 1964, at Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church, Faribault. Sharon worked for 3M in Northfield until they closed in the late 1970's. She worked at several restaurants and retired after working at Mystic Lake Casino. She loved to spend time with her family, watching TV, and she especially loved to read. She is survived by her sons, Donald (Laura) Gangloff, and Philip (Patricia) Gangloff of Northfield; daughters, Marsha Gangloff of Spring Lake Park, and Lisa (Brian) Ozmun of Lonsdale; three grandchildren, Jason (Allison) Gangloff, Kristina Berry and Becky Manthey; one great grandson, Robert Gangloff; five brothers, David (Clara) Aarsvold of Kasson, Jack Aarsvold of Fountain Hills, AZ, Daniel Aarsvold of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Theodore (Jill Anderson) Aarsvold of Grand Meadow, Mark (Ruth) Aarsvold of Bastrop, Texas; three sisters, Char (Al) Hamm of Orlando, FL, Chris (Woody) Laughnan of Rocklin, CA and Reverend Becky (Rick) Senner of Bridgewater, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; and a son in law, James Berry; stepparents, brothers, Steven, Thomas and Clifford; sisters, Patricia Lenton, Tamara Aarsvold; brother in law, Rod Lenton; sisters in law, Csilla and Barbara Aarsvold. ...POTENT WINTER STORM IMPACTING THE AREA THROUGH FRIDAY... .After the first round of wintry precipitation, many locations will see a lull until snow redevelops later this evening. The main impacts will be tonight through Friday morning, when the majority of the snow will fall. This is also when areas in western and south central Minnesota will have northerly wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph, with blizzard conditions developing. A Blizzard Warning is in effect through Friday afternoon from western through south central Minnesota, particularly along and west of a line from Alexandria to Litchfield to Glencoe to Le Center to Owatonna. These areas can expect snowfall ranging from 4 to 6 inches in west central Minnesota to 7 to 9 inches in southern Minnesota, along with wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect south of the Twin Cities along the Interstate 35 corridor to Faribault through Friday afternoon. Snow amounts of 7 to 10 inches can be expected through Friday afternoon along with wind gusts of up to 30 to 35 mph. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect to the east of the Blizzard Warning and to the north of the Winter Storm Warning, essentially much of central and east central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, and continuing through western Wisconsin through Friday afternoon. Snowfall amounts will generally range from 3 to 6 inches, although isolated locations may see receive 7 to 8 inches over a prolonged 36 hour period. Gusty winds and snow will continue through Friday, but conditions should begin to improve Friday afternoon into Friday evening. The main impacts will be to travel. ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of east central, south central and southeast Minnesota. * WHEN...From noon today to 6 PM CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
