Marcelle E. Babcock, age 71 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Three Links Care Center, Cottage West, in Northfield, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Johnson, Pastor at First English Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Marcelle Elizabeth, the daughter of Henry and Olive (Hendrickson) Ozmun was born on January 6, 1949 in Richmond, MN. Her family moved to Faribault and Marcelle attended Faribault High School . On February 6, 1976 she was united in marriage to Stanley Babcock in Sioux Falls, SD. Marcelle worked at different businesses in Faribault including McQuay’s and most recently had worked as the Kitchen Supervisor at the Faribault Correctional Facility. She enjoyed watching Lifetime and the Price is Right on TV, talking on the phone, shopping and especially enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She also enjoyed her cat T.J.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Babcock of Faribault; by her children and their families, Charlene Howie of Faribault and her children, Kendra (Paul) Myrom, Felicia Howie, Keara Howie and Nicole Glor, Gerald Velishek of Faribault and his children, Zach, Sylvia and Angel, Tamara (Michael) Ross of Faribault and their children, Payton and Paige and Timothy (Kali) Babcock of Faribault and their children, Hunter and Noah; by twelve great grandchildren; by a special friend, Amanda Gruber; by her siblings, Roger Ozmun of Faribault, Maxine Voegele of Faribault, Chuck Ozmun (Julie) of Faribault, Jean (John) Hagenbrock of Black River Falls, WI, Charlotte (Dave) Teske of Faribault and Robert (Teresa) Ozmun of Faribault and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson, Bryson Hennen, brother, Duane Ozmun and by three sisters, Irene Ozmun, Arlene Bronstad and Marlys Ozmun.
