Lisa D. Warner Nerstrand—Lisa D. Warner, 51, of rural Nerstrand, died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault. She was born January 18, 1969 in Faribault the daughter of Richard and Diane (Larson) O'Hara. Lisa graduated from Kenyon High School with the Class of 1987. She received her Associates Degree from Dakota County Vo-Tech. She worked for the Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic in Faribault as a medical transcriptionist. Lisa married Charles Warner on June 27, 1992 at Vang Lutheran Church. The couple lived on a farm near Nerstrand where they raised their three boys, housed foster kids and had many neighborhood get togethers. Lisa worked for St. Olaf College for many years. She also took care of her husband as he battled Pancreatic Cancer in 2014. Lisa was a member of Vang Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. She volunteered as a member and President of the Nerstrand Elementary PTO. She loved attending her sons' sporting events and throwing them birthday parties. Lisa enjoyed gardening, canning and baking Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed throwing parties and bringing people together. She fought hard for many years to beat her addiction to alcohol. Lisa was a loving and kind person putting others before herself. She is survived by sons, Charles "Chas" Warner of Nerstrand, Tanner Warner of Eden Prairie, Jacob Warner of Nerstrand; parents, Diane & Wendell Thompson of Kenyon; brother, Jason (and Lea) O'Hara of Crosby; half-sister, Heather Kirchner of Fulda; half-brother, Adam Pitan of Winona; biological father, Richard (and Kim) O'Hara of Faribault and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Warner. Private family services will be held at Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Paul A. Graham officiating.
