Pastor Steven Kuehne 1949–2019 Faribault —Pastor Steven J. Kuehne, age 70, of Faribault, died on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Three Links Care Center, Northfield, surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Tom Pfotenhauer, officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault. Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Friday. Steven John, the son of John and Margaret (Stapel) Kuehne was born on May 22, 1949, in St. Cloud. He married Susan Ugo on June 17, 1978, in Detroit, MI. He was formerly employed by Milwaukee Lutheran High School as a religion instructor from 1977 to 1980; He served as a Pastor at both St. John Lutheran Church, Atwater, MN from 1980 – 1985 and Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault from 1985 to 2012. His life passions included music and appreciating God's creation through activities like bird-watching, photography, landscaping, and taking walks, but his greatest passion and love which impacted so many people was teaching the Word of God through personal conversations, sermons, and Bible classes. Through his teaching and years of service, he encouraged people to "lose themselves in finding others." He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Sarah Brazfield (and Aaron Coronado) of Los Alamos, NM, Haidee Selle (and Eric) of St. Cloud, Joel Kuehne (and Pamela) of Fukushima, Japan, Pastor Jonathan Kuehne (and Cassandra) of Cottage Grove, and Jeremiah Kuehne (and Elizabeth) of Bloomington; grandchildren, Isabel and Dakota Brazfield, Elena Selle, Nathan, Arielle and Haru Kuehne; sisters, Joanne Lundgren (and Edwin) of Mahtomedi, Connie Nordby (and Barry) of Wyoming, Patricia Heine (and Carl) of Warrenville, IL and Terry Grinde of Hutchinson.
