Gary Howard Wolkenhauer 1938–2019 Kenyon—After another disappointing Vikings game, Gary Howard Wolkenhauer decided enough was enough and took off for Heaven on the evening of Monday, December 02, 2019. He was 81 years old. And now he can attack the Packers from a higher level. Gary was born on September 24, 1938, to Art and Helen (Heggedahl) Wolkenhauer of Kenyon. He graduated from Kenyon High in 1956. He served two years in the US Army at Fort Dix, NJ and reserves for six years with highest rank as corporal. He married Dorthea (Mount) of Richfield, MN on July 25, 1959 and started their lives in Kenyon. Gary joined MNDOT dept working on the highways and moved his family to Cannon Falls. When his folks retired from the family farm in 1978, Gary moved his family back to Kenyon to take over farming until their retirement in 1994. He is survived by his wife, Dotte, six children (lots of cold winters, we know!) Sandra (Scott) Hanson, James (Tamera) Wolkenhauer, Vickie Amundson, Robert (Lisa) Wolkenhauer, Carolee (Lynn) Miller, and Jean (Brian) Ramthun. Numerous grandkids and great grandkids. Memorials can be sent to the Kenyon Police Dept in memory of Gary.
