Jeanene Mary Harris Schmars was born the third child of Jim and Judy (Thielhorn) Harris on October 3rd, 1965. Jeannie as everyone called her, loved her parents dearly; she and her mother could talk about anything, assisting each other in everyday issues. She had a particularly strong bond with her dad as they could visit about nothing on the porch over a cold beer. Jeannie grew up in Huntley, MN and graduated from Granada Huntley in 1984. In her late teens and early twenties, she moved around a lot creating relationships and lifetime friends everywhere she went. Jeannie was the life of the party and her smile lit up the room. She greeted every person she knew with a hug and a kiss, telling you she loved you. She had a knack for making you feel special in that moment in time. On January 29th, 2000 Jeannie married Jerry Schmars, they had two children Jennifer and Jared. They moved to Faribault, MN where Jeannie poured her heart into raising them well including being members and attending church at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She knew the Lord's word, believed in Jesus' grace and prayed daily for her family and friends. If you knew Jeannie you would know she never missed The Young and the Restless, could shake a mean dice, the dishes were never dirty, tomato sauce was canned every spring, loved old tractors, hated to wear shoes and a bubble bath was never far away. The last 6 years Jeannie called Morristown, MN home, she settled into a peaceful life with Jimmy Valek, they enjoyed riding motorcycle, ice fishing and being with their friends in the neighborhood. She was happy and content. She is survived by her parents, Jim and Judy Harris of Fairmont MN, her sister, Jill Droegemueller of Truman, her children, Jennifer Schmars and Jared Schmars, both of Faribault. She was preceded in death by her sister Jan Armon. Visit boldtfuneralhome.com for information and guest book.
