JoAnn M. Bussert 1946–2020 Faribault—JoAnn M. Bussert, age 74, of Faribault, MN, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. A celebration of JoAnn's life will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed through a link on JoAnn's obituary page. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27th from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. JoAnn Marie, the daughter of Eugene and Aileen (Wing) Anderson, was born on January 11, 1946 in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Kenyon High School with the class of 1963 and later attended Robinson's Beauty College. On September 21, 1968, JoAnn was united in marriage with Lawrence Bussert Sr. at the I.C. in Faribault. They were later divorced. Following her graduation from beauty school, she began her first career as a beautician, working at Capri's in Wanamingo and Michaels in Owatonna for a combined 25 years. Later, JoAnn obtained a technical degree from South Central Technical College and worked as a nursing assistant at the Three Links Care Center for over 20 years. When she wasn't working, JoAnn loved watching movies, baking, knitting, and crocheting afghans. She always enjoyed playing games, visiting, and spending time with her family. JoAnn is survived by her sons, James Anderson of Kenyon, MN, Anthony Anderson of Faribault, MN, and Troy Bussert (Becky Eitel) of Owatonna, MN; grandchildren, Levi Anderson, Michael and Nicholas Anderson, and Alexis and Collin Bussert; step-grandchildren, Clayton, Travis, and Nathan Eitel; sister, Kay Baalson of Nerstrand, MN; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her former husband; parents; son, Roger Bussert; stepson, Larry Bussert Jr.; sisters, Mary Lou Anderson, Lois Palmer, and Betty Anderson; and brother-in-law, Roger Baalson.
