BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Blooming Prairie softball team scored the game-deciding run late and held on for a 6-5 Gopher Conference win over Faribault Bethlehem Academy on Monday night.

With the score knotted at 5-5, Riana Bishop drove in Allison Krohnberg with a double to give the Awesome Blossoms (5-8 overall, 3-5 Gopher) the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth.

Bishop also earned the victory in the circle, spinning all seven innings. She struck out three, walked two and surrendered eight hits. Only two of the runs she allowed were earned.
