Gayle Marie Lee 1948–2018 Mankato—Gayle Marie Lee, age 69, of Mankato, MN passed away on June 21, 2018 surrounded by her son James Lee and special friend Hanah. A graveside Memorial service will be held on Saturday June 30th at Woodland Hills Memorial Park of Mankato starting at 11:30am. Gayle, daughter of Donald and Mary Lou (Benson) Stackhouse, was born on October 20, 1948 in Marshalltown, IA. Gayle loved swimming and softball during high school. Following graduation in 1966, Gayle attended Mankato State University. Gayle married Russell Lee on July 24, 1971 and lived in Glenoce, St. James, Waseca, and Mankato MN. Gayle worked at the Faribault State Hospital until closing and transferred to the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center until retiring in 2003. Gayle was a wonderful artist, and loved ceramics, jewelry beading and painted gourds. She enjoyed travel, playing bingo and reading. Gayle is survived by her sons Dustin (Tricia) Lee, and James Lee. Grandchildren, Aaron (Lauren) Lee, Mia & Cara Barten, & Ella Lee. Great-Grandson Carter Ramrez. Sibling, Karen (Robert) Van Guilder. Brother/Sister-In-Laws, Pat (Darlene) Lee, Brenda (Tom) Reusch, and her dear friend Lora (Chuck) Root. Gayle is preceded in death by her husband, William Russel Lee, sister, Patricia Stackhouse, mother Mary Lou Stackhouse, her father Donald & step-mother Joyce Stackhouse.
