Connors Plumbing and Heating celebrated 70 years of business.
On Tuesday, April 9 they hosted a celebration with cake, wine and prizes.
Connors has been serving Waseca, Steele and Le Sueur counties since 1949. Robert Connors founded the company, and it's now in its second generation as a family-owned and -operated business and under the leadership of company President Peggy Hildebrandt.
“We had a great open house and it was fun for me to see my technicians interact with our customers," Hildebrandt said. "We just really appreciate everyone who came out."
She continued to say that there was a steady stream of people especially for a quick date change that was made due to the weather.
Hildebrandt took over the company solo in 1996 after having the chance to work with her dad, Robert Connors, to learn the business and get invaluable experience.
In the 70 years of business. there are two employees who have been there for over half of that time, which Hildebrandt thinks speaks volumes to the community and the customers as well. John Jandro has been with Connors for 40 years and Mike Munson has been with the company for 36 years.
Inside their facility in Waseca they had stations that guests could stop at to learn about different parts of the business.
One was tips and tricks for clogged drains, another station was information on their service plans that are available for customers and one station, before heading back outside, was to answer questions about furnace maintenance.
All of these stations were to show the guests what Connors has to offer, while giving the opportunity to broaden their knowledge on the topics at hand.
Connors is a full service contractor specializing in residential and light commercial service, new construction, replacement, design and consultation. They have served the area offering quality Lennox Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning equipment since becoming a dealer in 1956.
