St. Peter boys tennis players earned honors Monday at the annual season-ended banquet.

The 2019 Co- Most Valuable Players are seniors Matt Pettis and Ken Ringler, who played No. 1 singles.

Pettis and Ringler also made the Big South Conference All-Conference Team. Honorable mention all-conference went to junior No. 1 singles player Liam Dixon and senior No. 2 singles player Bailey More, who teamed up to qualify for state doubles.

Eighth-grader Marty Anderson, who played No. 3 and 4 singles, was named Most Improved Player.

Three Saints received the Minnesota Tennis Coaches Association Academic All-State Award: senior McKinley Prafke, who played No. 2 and 3 doubles; More and Ringler.

The 2020 captains will be Dixon and sophomore Kelson Lund, who played No. 2 and 3 singles this season.

St. Peter finished third in the Big South Conference East Division at 2-3. The Saints ended 10-7 overall, losing in the Section 2A semifinals to Breck 6-1.
