Owatonna graduate, and current Division I pitcher at North Dakota State University, Alec Holcomb, will be teaming up with current college teammate, Zach Smith, to conduct a pitching clinic this summer.
The three-day instructional event will take place at Dartts Park July 1-3 and will be broken into three age levels: 9-11 (9 a.m.-10:15 a.m.), 12-13 (10:45 a.m.-noon) and 14-18 (12:30 p.m.-1:45 p.m.).
The camp will be geared toward baseball pitchers of all ages and abilities, but will also involve instruction on how to become a well-rounded athlete. Daily awards will be given out and each participant will receive a t-shirt.
The deadline to register for the camp is June 21. Contact Alec Holcomb via text (507-213-7905), e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or mail (527 E Academy Street, Owatonna, MN 55060) for more information.
Both Holcomb and Smith play in one of the most competitive college summer leagues in the nation, the Northwoods League. Holcomb plays for the Waterloo Bucks and Smith, a Rochester John Marshall graduate, for the Rochester Honkers.
