OWATONNA - First responders were called to put out a fire southwest of Owatonna on Wednesday night.
Shortly after 7 p.m., the Owatonna Fire Department was dispatched to the 4000 block of Lemond Road for what dispatch reported as a vehicle fire inside a garage.
Smoke was visible before the structure could even be seen, even in the night sky. Firefighters were fighting a fire inside a structure that appeared to be a garage. The building was not attached to the residence at the property.
Assisting the fire department were deputies from the Steele County Sheriff's Office. Gold Cross Ambulance was also at the scene.
