OWATONNA — The Steele County Historical Society announces its children’s programming will be held at 10:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the History Center located at 1700 Austin Road.

The History Detectives (pre-school age children) will meet at 10:15 a.m. in the Exhibit Hall of the History Center. The topic will be communication from pioneer days until the present.

The Time Travelers (children in grades K-6) will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall and the topic for the evening will also be communication. A coloring activity will also be part of the program.

"We are thrilled to have another children's opportunity for April. It is wonderful for them to be able to have fun and experience history, too. I also encourage our guests to take some time to enjoy the Steele County Homefront Exhibit," said Laura Resler, SCHS Director.

Children’s programs are offered on the first Thursday of each month. Watch for more information on topics for upcoming programs.
