Bonita “Bonnie” Fierst, age 67, of Maple Grove, and formerly of Montgomery, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at her home.
Bonnie Otilla was born on Aug. 8, 1946, in New Prague to Emil and Otilla “Tillie” (Kuchinka) Fierst. She graduated from Montgomery High School and also St. Cloud State Teachers College. She was an eighth-grade English teacher at Osseo Junior High for 34 years. She enjoyed traveling in Europe, reading, walking outdoors and visiting with family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by sisters, Janice (Ben) Sticha of Lonsdale and Sharon (Cliff) Lanning of Sandpoint, Idaho; a sister-in-law, Theresa Fierst of Northfield; and nieces and their families, Lorri Fierst, Amy O’Neil and JeNean Cory. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Harlin.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery.
