Phillip was born January 13, 1960, the son of Albert "Bubby" and Violet (Hall) Weed in Farmington, Minnesota. He attended school in Lakeville and Northfield. In September of 1981, Phillip began a long career with McNamara Contracting in Rosemount driving dump truck and asphalt paving. Phillip was more affectionately known as "Weeder" at his work and made lifelong friendships along the way. Phillip was a hard-working man putting in long summer hours, but always found time for his daughters, granddaughter, and family. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Meyer February 12, 1982, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Northfield. The couple would later divorce but continued to co-parent in the best way. Phillip was a fun-loving guy who had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, throwing darts, fishing with his girls, working on cars especially his 1970 Dodge Super Bee. He always surrounded himself with good people. He was always ready to help anyone and never said no. He was a very proud man that took pride in the simple things in life. His wardrobe was even simple. He owned five pocket tee shirts and five pair of jeans. He always remembered the holidays, birthdays and Father's Day cookouts with family. He was always very punctual which he learned from his father. Most importantly is the love that he shared with his family. His daughters were everything to him. His most treasured little gift was the birth of his granddaughter, Wrenn whom he called "peanut pie." He is survived by his daughters, Muranda (Caleb) Smith of Cannon Falls, Whitney of Bemidji; a granddaughter Wrenn; his mother, Violet of Northfield; his siblings Terry of Dundas; Faye (Jim) Stowe of Northfield; Wendy Rader of Faribault; Bryan (Gigi) of Northfield; Lori (Mitch) Kimmes of Northfield; an aunt Maydelle Rose of Lakeville; 14 nieces and nephews and 35 great-nephews and nieces.
