The Northfield News will publish its annual special section featuring the Class of 2014 on May 21.

To be included in the section, high school graduates or their parents can submit a photo (color or black and white) and information about the student’s future plans by going to the Northfield News website and clicking “Forms” in the navigation bar, then clicking on “Graduation Form” near the top.

The deadline for graduate submissions is May 9.

Photos should be vertical images, wallet-size or larger, preferably picturing the student from the waist up. File sizes for photos should be at least 500 kilobytes, or 200 dpi.

For questions or concerns, contact Jerry Smith at 507-645-1136 or jcsmith@northfieldnews.com.

With my last great grandchild graduating with honors this next month I wanted to thank all those NHS teachers that never gave up on me, my children, my grandchildren and now my greats. We are a family that has been able to have some of the greatest teachers in the world help us through. All of us have become leaders in our chosen professions and gone on to make millions of times what any of the teachers "made, financially." But, what they made was much more valuable then the riches my family has amassed. What they made where Citizens that knew it was their duty to protect honor, liberty and each individuals right to pursue happiness. From the German Teachers that taught us words that help us buy german businesses to the V-tech teachers who gave us skills to move great buildings and masses of people we thank you. As the Patriarch out here in Castle Rock, I thank you. One day, when all is said and done and each of the great teachers of NHS are talking to st. peter at the gate, they can say that what they did was change lives. Many choose not to go to the ivory towers of arrogance and graft, instead they helped us common folk succeed. We thank you! A grateful nation thanks you!
