All preschool mothers are welcome to join the Northfield MOPS group, with meetings beginning Sept. 21.
MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers, is an international, nondenominational organization focused on meeting the needs of every mother of preschooler, age birth through kindergarten. The goals of MOPS include: celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources.
The local group meets from 9 to 11 a.m. the first and third Friday of every month at Northfield Evangelical Free Church. While moms meet, their children gather in age appropriate classrooms where they learn about God’s love through structured activities and recreation.
Each MOPS meeting consists of fellowship time, a guest speaker, a creative activity, and small group discussion time centered on the theme. This year's kickoff date is Sept. 21. Those interested in learning more about MOPS may contact Angie Nelson at 507-301-9536 or Christina Anderson at 712-253-6413.
