The Tri-City United Titans placed 10th of 14 teams in day 1 of the Section 2AA boys golf tournament Friday at The Legacy Golf Club in Faribault.

No Titans advanced to the second day finals at 10 a.m. Monday at New Prague.

The top four teams advanced: 1. Blue Earth 308, 2. St. Peter 310, 3. Jordan 324, 4. Glencoe Silver Lake 330, 5. Albert Lea 340, 6. Maple River 346, 7. St. Clair/Loyola 347, 8. Belle Plaine 348, 8. Waseca 348, 10. Tri-City United 359, 11. Kenyon-Wanamingo 369, 12, Le Sueur-Henderson 373, 13. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial 411, 14. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva 484.

Josh Lebrun led the Titans, placing 24th with 85. Carter Doose of St. Peter won medalist honors with a 2-under par 70.

Also for the Titans, Jacob Duque tied for 29th with 86, Adam Henze and Chase Vargo tied for 51st with 94s, Austin Kristiansen tied for 55th with 95, and Matthew Bartholowmew tied for 68th with 105.

TCU senior Jorgia Pumper tied for 40th out of 57 golfers with a 123 in the first round of the girls tournament Wednesday at The Legacy.
