Mankato Area Lifelong Learners is presenting a Book Fair from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 2 at Barnes & Noble in the River Hills Mall. Local bird experts Merrill Frydendall and Al Batt will be available. Frydendall, professor emeritus MSU will present “Spring Birds of Minnesota” at 10:30 a.m. and Batt, humorist and author, will sign his most recent book and exchange bird stories beginning at 1 p.m. A percentage of income from purchases that day will be credited to Lifelong Learners if the purchaser uses a voucher available at the Lifelong Learners table or tells the cashier it is part of the book fair.
