The meeting of Friends of the Rush RIver was called to order by President Tom Bender at 7:30 p.m. March 27 at the Henderson RoadHaus Event Center. It was reported that the bucket raffle and dance went over very well — good crowd, lots of items for the raffle.

The maintenance contracts for the 2019 season have been given to the previous contractors. There does need to be some more garbage cans and replacement of missing and damaged lids.

Sweatshirts and T-shirts with the Friends logo on them have sold well. More items may be ordered for sale in the future. The next fundraiser will be March 7, 2020; The Dakota Ramblers will again be asked to provide music.

The park cleanup will be 9 a.m. to noon April 27 with lunch provided. The playground area will get a new coat of mulch during the cleanup. The next meeting is 7:30 p.m. April 24 at the Henderson RoadHaus Event Center.
