The Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton girls track team finished in second on Wednesday afternoon with 177.50 points, behind Lake Crystal Wellcome-Memorial who took home first place with 188.50 points.
St. Clair/Imannuel came in third with 113 points and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown came in fourth with 105. River Valley took fifth with 102 points and St. James Area came in sixth with 68.75 points. Mankato Loyola/Cleveland took seventh with 59.25 points.
Samantha Wehking came in first during the pole vault at 8-00.00. Kayli Hinze came in fourth during the high jump at 4-6.00.
On the track, the Bulldogs took first place in the 4x400 relay behind Ashlin Keyes, Claire Adams, Maddie Kunst and Madison Zimbrich with a time of 4:22.68. Lauren Dimler came in first during the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.99, and she took first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.77.
Ashlin Keyes came in first during the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.22, and Madison Zimbrich came in first during the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.07. Addison Peed came in first during the 1600-meter run with a time 5:35.92, and Faith Olson took fourth with a time of 6:07.16.
JWP came in third during the 4x100 meter relay, meanwhile, behind Kayli Hinze, Megan Walz, Samantha Wehking and Emily Olson with a time of 55.35.
In the boys meet, St. Clair/Imannuel Lutheran came in first with 176 points and LCWM-Nicollet took second with 153. St. James Area came in third with 143 points and Mankato Loyola/Cleveland came in fourth with 124 points. JWP took fifth with 99.50 points and WEM came in sixth with 87.50 points. River Valley came in last with 32 points.
Jagger Ignaszewski came in first during the high jump with a jump of 5-08.00. Ignaszewski also came in second during the long jump measuring in at 18-02.
Aiden Oldenburg came in second during the pole vault at 12-06.00, while Jacob Cahill took third at 11-00.00. Benjamin Schrom came in third during the discus throw with a measurement of 110-06, and Logan Miller came in fourth with a measurement of 106-00.
The Bulldogs picked up their first loss in the second round of the playoffs against Cleveland Thursday 10-0. JWP also lost to the Clippers earlier this season 6-1.
The girls struggled offensively throughout the game, though it did rack up a few hits. Bulldog Zoie Burton went 2-3 in the loss, while Abby Mudgett went 1-3 on the day and Hallie Wheelock went 1-3 as well.
JWP is 11-6 following the playoff loss and now drops to the bottom half of the bracket in its double elimination tournament. The team will face the Nicollet Raiders who they beat earlier this season. The game is set to take place at Caswell Park at 10 a.m. Saturday.
