More than 100 farmers, lenders, educators and others with an interest in agriculture gathered at the Elk’s Lodge in Faribault on Tuesday evening for multiple reasons: to learn the results of the 2013 analysis summary report of the Farm Business Management program at South Central College in Faribault and of the 2013 annual Farm Business Management report for southern Minnesota, as well as to honor scholarship and management award recipients.

Farmers use the data to compare and to improve their operations and maximize efficiency, according to Retired Dean of Management Education at SCC Al Brudelie. Brudelie supervised the farm business management programs for 25 years and is now a farmer.
