Manufacturing jobs may be on the rise in the United States, but applicants qualified to fill those positions aren’t quite on par in number. Yet.

At a press conference on Wednesday, President Barack Obama announced a manufacturing employee apprenticeship program, “Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Pilot” that will begin at four sites throughout the United States, including South Central College in Faribault.
